Based in Evansville, Indiana, Barrier-Free Bathrooms was created out of a vital personal need: ensuring that everyone who requires assistance has safe, dignified access to family and companion restrooms.
Born from personal experience
While dining out recently, my ostomy bag leaked unexpectedly. In that stressful moment, I realized I might need my boyfriend's urgent help, but gender-segregated multi-stall restrooms made that impossible. Single-occupancy family restrooms remove these barriers, allowing spouses, partners, and caregivers to step in when it matters most.
